Wild, an exhibition of art and ceramics at the Aldeburgh gallery.

My exhibition at the Aldeburgh gallery will soon be here. I’ve been packing work and making lists for my lists. With just over a week to go, I think I’m just about ready.
I’ve spent a year painting and creating for my solo show. The paintings are mostly oils of altered landscapes. Paint is a way of releasing my emotions of a time and place, it’s intuitive and absorbing. I’ve spent a lot of time in Suffolk this year, particularly Dunwich and Walberswick. I’m fascinated by villages taken by the sea and the sense of melancholy that they evoke. It’s that melancholy that I use as creative output.
The exhibition opens softly on the 2nd of October, on the Friday I’m opening in the evening for fizz and a little celebration- you are invited to join me 6-8pm. And the exhibition will close on the 8th.
I use the name WILD, as my title, it encompasses the landscape and feeling of my work. The fleeting beauty of a moment snatched away by the wind and sea.
